This policy covers information handled through our directory, accounts, assistance board, messaging, and My Vehicles features.

We collect information you provide when you create an account, submit a business listing, request help, write a review, contact support, or use messages and My Vehicles. This may include your name, username, email, business contact information, service area, business hours, experience, specialties, languages, vehicle details, photographs, maintenance notes, and communications. Passwords are handled by the account system; never send your password in a message or support request.

Our hosting and security systems may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request logs, login attempts, and information needed to detect abuse. Email systems process recipient addresses, message content, and delivery information.

Published business listings and reviews are public. Assistance requests become public after approval and are intended to show your general area, vehicle issue, and any photos you choose to post. Do not include an exact residential or roadside location, license plate, VIN, private contact information, or sensitive documents in a public request or photo. Other people can copy public information, and search engines may index it.

Direct conversations are intended for their participants. My Vehicles details, photos, and maintenance notes are intended for your account rather than public profiles. Authorized administration and service providers may access stored information when needed to operate, maintain, investigate abuse, or support the service. These features should not be treated as end-to-end encrypted storage.

You decide whether to send an exact location or contact details to a mechanic privately. We do not intend to publish your private garage information automatically. Information you share with a mechanic is also subject to that mechanic's own handling practices.

We use information to provide accounts and listings, support search and maps, display approved submissions, enable conversations, maintain private vehicle records, send account and service notifications, match assistance requests to opted-in mechanics, respond to support requests, and protect the service against fraud and abuse. We may review submissions and communications when necessary to investigate a report or enforce our Terms.

Address suggestions use Geoapify. As you type in a connected address field, the entered search text is sent to Geoapify to return potential addresses. Map services may receive your IP address and information about the map area requested. The site uses OpenStreetMap-based mapping. Selecting an address can fill city, postal code, and coordinates. Use only the location details needed for the task. If you choose a browser location feature, your browser may ask permission before sharing your device location.

The site uses cookies and similar storage for login sessions, security, site operation, and preferences. The interface language choice is stored in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent accounts or other features from working. If we introduce optional analytics or advertising tools, we will update this notice and provide choices where required before using them.

We use providers for hosting, business email, security, maps, and related operation, including Hostinger, Wordfence, and Geoapify. They may process information required to deliver their services. We retain information needed to operate accounts and requested features, maintain business records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Different records may have different retention periods. Archiving a vehicle is not permanent deletion. Copies may remain in backups and logs until those records are rotated or removed.

Some records may need to be retained for legal, security, or dispute-related reasons. Do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are necessary and arrange an appropriate way to provide them. Account verification, password recovery, security notices, and requested service communications help operate your account. Mechanics can manage assistance-alert preferences through the site. Messaging notification settings may also be available in your account. Turning off alerts does not delete an account or erase existing messages. Separate marketing messages, if introduced, will provide an appropriate opt-out.

We use access controls and other safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and promptly report suspected unauthorized account use. The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information so we can investigate and address it.
